On 16 April, Barbara Bozsik, urban planner, spoke about the Tajtéka project at the Urbs Balatonica training of the University of Pécs.
The KÉK – Contemporary Architecture Centre has implemented the Landscape programme about the cultural landscape of the Lake Balaton Highlands and its shaping actors in the framework of the Veszprém-Balaton 2023 European Capital of Culture programme. Running between 2021 and 2023, the project analysed the use of the region’s landscape in time and space, and translated the lessons learned into tools. We worked with local communities on model projects to ensure they are sustainable beyond 2023. We have developed a practical toolkit and organised a number of programmes that have demonstrated their applicability to landscape interpretation and landscape design. The results have been published in a three-volume book series. In our presentation, we described in detail the process, the methods used, the lessons learned and the next steps planned.
